About Sangati
A refined public archive for Carnatic notation.
Sangati is a carefully curated archive of Carnatic notation, designed for beautiful reading, precise study, powerful search, and effortless practice across every device.
The problem: Carnatic notation today is scattered across rare books, handwritten notes, personal collections, individual PDFs, and inconsistent websites. Many compositions exist in multiple versions across different schools and lineages, yet these variations are often difficult to preserve, compare, or even find. Physical books remain invaluable, but are often hard to obtain, limited in scope, and not easily searchable or accessible electronically.
Sangati aims to preserve and present these notations in a form that is archival in quality, accessible, readable, searchable, comprehensive, and pleasant to learn from.
The goal is not merely to digitize notation, but to make Carnatic notation easier to study, practice, teach, preserve, share, and enjoy.
